We would therefore like to take this opportunity to inform you about data privacy at MyOwns Deutschland. Of course, we adhere to the legal regulations of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and other data protection-relevant laws that are applicable in Germany.
You can trust us with your personal data! We only collect and store as much data as is absolutely necessary in order for us to provide our services to you. Your data will be transferred to us in encrypted form through a digital security system. Technical measures have been put in place to ensure that our websites are protected against vandalism, damage or unauthorised access.
§1 PURPOSE OF DATA PRIVACY
The purpose of data privacy is your personalised data. Personalised data is individual data regarding personal or factual relationships of a determined or determinable individual. This includes personal details such as your name, your postal address, your email address or phone number; if required, also usage data such as your IP address.
§2 GENERAL DATA PROTECTION NOTICE
(1) GENERAL BROWSING ON THE MYOWNS HOMEPAGE
First and foremost: In general, personalised user profiles are not created. However, Article 15, Sec. 3 TMG does allow the use of pseudonym-based User profiles for advertising, market research and needs-based customisation of offers, insofar as the User does not object.
If you access our website www.myowns.de or www.myowns.com or download data from these sites, data pertaining to your activity is stored in a protocol file and processed. This process is of course completely anonymous. No trackbacks to you are possible.
Without the User's express consent, the user profiles are assigned with random names and not combined with the personalised data via the pseudonym's medium.
You may object to the collecting and storing of your data for the purposes of web analysis at any time for the future. Please contact the address listed in our Imprint.
(2) SSL DATA ENCRYPTION
As soon as you have registered at MyOwns Deutschland, we use Secure Sockets Layer Software (SSL) in order to protect the transmission of your data. This software encrypts the information that is transferred by you.
(3) WHICH DATA IS STORED WHILE YOU BROWSE OUR SITE?
We store the IP address, the date and the time the page was accessed; we store the page accessed or the name of the accessed file, the volume of data transmitted, and the notification if the access was successful or not.
This data is not used for commercial purposes. The analysis only serves to support the strategic processing and improvement of our homepage. We will create User profiles using a pseudonym. A connection between the person behind the pseudonym and the collected User data is not made. After this use, the data is deleted. A long-term storage of the data does not occur. (4) FORWARDING DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
The collected data regarding your usage profile and activity is only used by us. We do not forward your data to third parties. Please consider that the processing for the analysis of your user profile and activity is processed outside of the scope of Provision 95/46/EG through Google Analytics (also see Article 5 of this Data Privacy Statement). You may object to the processing and use of your data through use of the deactivation add-on.(http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).
(5) COOKIES
We use cookies for collecting and saving data. Cookies are small text packages that – per our order – your browser stores on your computer's hard drive. The cookies do not cause any damage. They do not contain any viruses and do not allow us to spy on you. We use two types of cookies. Temporary cookies are deleted automatically once you have closed your Browser (session cookies). In contrast, permanent cookies have a maximum "life expectancy" of up to 4 weeks. These types of cookies ensure that the website is recognised when the website is accessed again. Using cookies, it is impossible to trace your usage patterns for the above-mentioned purposes and in a corresponding scope. Furthermore, the cookies are intended to enable you to enjoy an optimised browsing experience on our website. Even this data is only collected in anonymous form. You are able to change your browser's settings so that our cookies are not stored on your end device, or you can delete previously stored cookies.
§3 SCOPE OF DATA COLLECTION AND STORAGE
(1) SETTING UP A PERSONAL ACCOUNT (REGISTRATION)
In order that we can provide our comprehensive services, we require your personalised data. For this, you will need to register with MyOwns Deutschland. We collect the following data: Last name, first name, residence, gender, age, email address and mobile phone number, in case you would like to receive a text message in connection with specific services. For the duration of your personal registration at MyOwns Deutschland, your personalised data is stored in an encrypted fashion on our servers.
(2) REGISTRATION AT MYOWNS
You will be asked for a personal password during the registration process. From now on, this password will always be required when you login to MyOwns so that you can access your personalised area. After the successful registration, your personal data is available for you to use all of our services and they will not have to be requested again. You can change your personal data at any time in the "My Account" menu. Please keep your data up-to-date so that there will not be any problems with accessing our services. For your own safety: Please change your password from time to time. If you share your computer with others, you should definitely make sure to log off after each session.
(3) DELETING A PERSONAL ACCOUNT
If you would like to deregister from MyOwns Deutschland, you can do this at any time on our website. We guarantee that all of your personal data will be permanently deleted after a retention period of 4 weeks . The retention period serves to give you the ability to revoke the registration. During this time, all of your personal data can be restored and nothing will be lost. You will receive an email three days before the four-week retention period expires. If you do not use the email to reactivate your account, then your personal data will be permanently deleted after three days. After this point in time, restoring your data is no longer possible.
(4) ADDITIONAL DATA COLLECTION FOR CERTAIN SERVICES
If you order one of our services (e.g., brokering the shipping of an object found), we will likely require your personal data. This will only be collected and stored insofar as it is required for providing the service or for the implementation of the order. It may also be required for us to forward your data to companies that we work with in order to provide you with the desired services. These can be, for example, transport companies or other service firms. In order to perform the actions listed below or other actions – or to provide services – we need to collect additional personal data in addition to the registration data listed above. In this case, we will ask you to provide your express consent on the appropriate location of our website. Services that require additional personalised information are:
- Delivery address for brokering of found articles and orders
- Credit card data for payment of ordered products or services and reward.
Upon order confirmation, we will only divulge the last four digits of your credit card number. Of course we will transmit the entire credit card number to the lending institution or bank over the course of the order processing.
After the order has been fully processed, this data is locked and – after conclusion of the tax and commercial provisions – deleted, insofar as you have not expressly approved of another use.
§4 DATA COLLECTION THROUGH USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called cookies (see §2(5) of this Data Privacy Statement). These are text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your activity on the website. For example, the information collected pertains to the operating system, the browser, the IP address, the previously viewed websites (reference URL), and the date and time of your visit to our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is sent to and stored on a server operated by Google and located in the USA. Per our order, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities, and in order to provide additional services related to the use of the website or the Internet. Insofar as this is required by law, or insofar a third party processes this data by order of Google, Google will forward this information to third parties. (1) DEACTIVATING A DART COOKIE
Google uses the double click DART cookie. User can deactivate the use of DART cookies by accessing the data privacy regulations of the advertising network and the Google content web network.
§5 SOCIAL PLUGINS
On our website we also use social plugins, for example plugins from social networks Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Google+. These are often technically operated in the USA or other countries outside of Germany and the EU, and are partially made available through national business in the EU (also see the website of the providers, www.facebook.de, www.twitter.de, www.youtube.de or www.google.de). The social plugins are, for example, labelled with the companies' logos, comment fields, or the "Like" or "+1" buttons.

Upon opening our homepage in your web browser that contains this type of plugin, the browser connects directly with the server of the respective provider in the respective country. Through the integration of the social plugins, the provider receives the information that you have visited certain pages of our website and, possibly, additional information that your web browser or end device (smartphone) discloses. The content of the social plugins is loaded through your browser from the provider and integrated into our website. If you are registered and logged in with the respective provider, your visit to our homepage can be attributed to your User account.
When you interact with a social plugin, for example by clicking on the Facebook "like" button or submitting a comment in a form, this information is sent by your browser to the provider and stored there or used and published. (2) DEACTIVATING PLUGINS
If you do not want a provider to collect data about you through our website, then you must deactivate the social plugins in your web browser. If you want to avoid linking to an existing user account, then you need to log out of the (social media) site before visiting our website.

§6 COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF USER DATA
In order to optimise our website, we collect and store data, such as the date and time that the page was accessed, the page from where you entered our URL, and similar information. This is done anonymously without personally identifying the user. If required, we will create user profiles using a pseudonym. In this process, no connection is made between the person behind the pseudonym and the collected user data. In order to collect and store the user data, we also use cookies (see §2(5)). The data collected in this manner is only used for statistical purposes, to further optimise the website, and to help make our website offer even more attractive. The collection and storage of data is only performed in anonymous form and does not allow any conclusions to be made about the actual person.

§7 ASSIGNED DATA USAGE
We adhere to the fundamentals of the assigned data usage and only collect, process and store your personalised data for the purposes you have previously agreed to. We do not forward your personalised data to third parties without your express permission, insofar as this is not required in order to provide you with the processing of your order. Even the forwarding of your data to entitled state institutions or authorities is only processed within the scope of the statutory duty of disclosure or if we are obligated to do so based on a legal decision.
We also take internal company privacy very seriously. Our employees and the service providers that work for us have been obligated to discretion and adherence to the applicable laws and regulations concerning data protection.
§8 LINK TO THE WEBSITES OF OTHER PROVIDERS; LINKS TO ADVERTISING
Our websites contain links to other providers' websites. We point out that this Data Privacy Statement is only applicable to the website of MyOwns Deutschland. We have no influence on – and therefore do not control – the adherence of other providers to the applicable data privacy regulations. Therefore, we recommend that you also carefully read through the data privacy statements of the other providers.
Please consider that we sell the MyOwns labels at cost – and therefore at the lowest possible cost to you. We are only able to provide our services at no extra charge by running advertising on our website. We are very intent on ensuring the all ads are as secure, decent and relevant as possible. For example, on MyOwns we do not use pop-ups. Advertisers that infringe on our guidelines, will be barred from our website.
§9 VALIDITY AND TIMELINESS OF THE DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT
By using our website, you agree to the previously described data usage. The Data Privacy Statement is currently valid and was last updated on November 17, 2014.
Through the further development of our website or the implementation of new technologies, it can become necessary to amend this data privacy statement. MyOwns Deutschland reserves the right to change the data privacy statement at any time for the future. We recommend that you read through the most current version of the data privacy statement from time to time.
Please also consider that data privacy statements and treatments regarding data privacy at Google (due to §4 Google Analytics) may also change at any time. It is therefore advisable and necessary to keep up to date on changes in the statutory regulations and the practices of Google on an ongoing basis.
§10 RIGHT TO ACCESS AND RECTIFY
You may request to receive information about the your stored personalised data at any time. This request is free of charge. You can ask us to block, correct or delete your personalised data at any time. You can also repeal your consent for collecting and using your personalised data.
